OUR FALL PREACHING SERIES

From September 10th through October 15th, Rev. Kathy Genus will uplift us every Sunday with this wonderful series. There are many heroes of the faith, and there are even more ordinary people of faith—those doing what they can with what they have to make a difference. This series features stories of those often overlooked in our biblical narratives, hoping these characters remind us that we all play a role in shaping God’s story of redemption and grace. Join us in person or live on Facebook!

September 10, 2023 – Deborah – Judges 4:1-22
In the midst of oppression, Deborah creates the space for channeling God’s wisdom, in the chaos of war she finds stillness under a palm tree and tunes herself to God’s voice.

September 17, 2023 – Shadrach, Meshack & Abednego – Daniel 3

Even when we cannot clearly see, God’s courage is with us.

September 24th – Jonah 1-4
A story about a man who was reluctant to forgive and a God who is so loving that grace and forgiveness are the only options.

October 1, 2023 – Judas Iscariot-Mark 14:1-2, 10-50

Judas forces us to face the relationship we have with Jesus. Jesus’ relationship with Judas is fraught, complicated, and ultimately tragic, but there were times of beauty.

October 8, 2023 – Ethiopian Eunuch – Acts 8:26-40

Nothing keeps us from the love of God.

October 15, 2023 – Eutychus- Acts 20:1-12

How many people are falling away from the church, and when they do, are we kneeling in the street with them when things get hard?
